I do not think the SS of days gone by would’ve said this. The buck stops with them and they know it. The SS, like other American institutions, is rotting away.
To: The_Media_never_lie
Finger pointing, it is what incompetent government workers do, I’m not at all surprised. case closed.
To: The_Media_never_lie
If the SS tasked the local police with that part of it, the SS should have confirmed what the local police did to make sure it was handled. This excuse sounds like a highschooler. Pathetic.

All this denial focuses responsibility for the assassination attempt on the matter on the guy on the roof behind Trump and whether he had permission to shoot. He will tell this story, and it won't be deniable.
They had three minutes. Nobody issued orders to sweep Trump off the stage or shield his body. Nobody issued permission to shoot.
That's proof of responsibility. I'm wondering if those radio communications are recorded.

“””The Secret Service blamed local police for failing to secure the rooftop from which gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks attempted to assassinate former President Donald Trump, insisting it was outside of the perimeter the federal agency was tasked with protecting.”””
I saw this headlined this morning on CFP and said to myself—”The Secret Service is digging their hole deeper”
However, at this point it really doesn’t matter how deep the hole is.
The American Public has been hit on the side of their head with the latest example of how corrupt the US Government has become.
To: The_Media_never_lie
I think it’s the problem of resources, the SS did not assign enough agents to protect Trump, so they had to rely on local police to do some of the work.
To: The_Media_never_lie
It’s quite common for federal fascists to farm their assigned tasks out to local government. Federal fascists went bat chit crazy decades ago when the USSC said that federal goons could not draft local and state government to carry out federal diktats because the county and state are sovereigns.

Head of Secret Service should resign. If she doesn’t she should be fired.

Waiting for the police department to blame the fire department for failing to bring a ladder to the building so they could access the roof.
On a serious note, the entire event was one big disaster, so bad it looks like a setup to eliminate Trump.

Bull-ogna. Another sappy “whatifism” to deflect from what we all know, or that is, any reasoning, deducing American. This was an inside job. Period.

Let the Blame Shifting begin.
It better be the SS’s job. They know how to do it much better. Or they SHOULD know how to do it much better.

Oh, hell no. Yes; they failed; but no, it was the Secret Service’s responsiblity to train them and check their work.

Straight up lie
Sec Service owns any event site it guards. No matter what assets they use, local, country, state, federal the Sec Service is in overall command of securing the site. They left it uncovered. That is wholly their failure.
