My money is on gross incompetence.

Put my bet on "Government sponsored windup toy provided by ANTIFA" and "A critical official looks the other way".

I will take a side bet on "gross incompetence" as well. That is kind of a standard running bet.

However, this event goes well beyond "gross incompetence". Even the local police chief involved in the investigation is saying multiple others participated in this assassination attempt.

>> No, they are certainly not “impossibly close” <<

They certainly are if they’re from one gun; if they’re from several, there’s no such thing as impossibly close.

>> How did TMZ end up with a clear view of the killer? <<

What I mean is why did someone do a better job at seeing a killer than the secret service did!

Well, these days the SS thinks their job is to model sunglasses and crew cuts.

It is about the most unreliable source possible, unless you include the Babylon Bee and sites like that

So then it’s as accurate as CNN, NYTimes, and other MSM sites. /s

CNN, “loud noises, Trump fell on stage”. I saw that Live.

he didn't bring it 40+ miles from home, strapped to the hood of his car then hump it around looking for a place to use it.

"he didn't bring it 40+ miles from home, strapped to the hood of his car then hump it around looking for a place to use it."

Conveniently left there for his use? Even if he somehow got the ladder there the night before without being detected, a final, and thorough security sweep of the area should have discovered it, and removed it.

I see now where I was mistaken about the ladder. I was thinking of a commercial sized ladder and a taller building. Apparently, the building wasn’t much over head high. He used a 5ft ladder which he purchased on Friday. To me that’s what I call a “step ladder”.

From CNN:

“Thomas Matthew Crooks, the shooter at the Trump rally, went to the rifle range at the Clairton Sportsmen’s Club in Pennsylvania on Friday, according to a senior law enforcement official.

On Saturday morning, the shooter went to Home Depot and bought a five-foot ladder before going to the gun store and purchasing the 50 rounds of ammunition, the source said.

Later that afternoon, Crooks drove to the rally site in Butler, where CNN previously reported he was spotted by local law enforcement acting suspiciously by the magnetometers outside the event, and then not spotted again until he was perched on that roof.

Authorities are still working toward retracing all of his activities in the days leading up to the shooting and have asked the public for help in building out the full picture of his movements. “

I just looked at the photo of the ladder on Daily Mail.

I counted 10 ladder rungs, typically that is a 10-foot ladder. The ladder does not look to be an extension ladder, Maybe a folding ladder, but does not look like that either.

And the building looks to be about 12-14 feet tall, with she connecting ‘hallway’ at 10 feet.

This 5-foot ladder report is suspect to me. Where is it, if it is not ‘my’ 10 footer.

And purchased 50 rounds? 223/5.56 is often in 20-round boxes. so that is 20. 40. or 60. Maybe the store has a ‘50 round special’?

But if he is a ‘lone wolf’, then he did it all himself, as reported about the ladder and ammo. (/Suspicion)
