DS2 was a neocon fraud from day 1.

Even his governorship was disappointing. We should have voted for Pat Buchanan in 2000, not GWB.

Are you suggesting Bill & Hillary wanted the Lewinsky scandal to come out, and Hillary’s never considered portraying Lewinsky as a deranged stalker before the blue dress came out?

I remember a lot of people were banned from this forum for criticizing GWB.

In 2000 we nominated him because we needed a winner. 2004-Lurch wood been awful.

Could he have been more conservative? As I remember McCain was the conservative choice in 2000. We all found out about him 8 years later. Mittens-we were still pussy footin’ around. 2020 showed we’re not core valued enough. It took us that long to find out the left plays for keeps. It’s on all of us.

There were 1.4 million Christians in Iraq before the war. I saw that 10-15 years later there were less than 250,000. Between being forced out and “Islam is the religion of peace.” I wonder how they few his performance.

I remember in 2000 Jeb was considered, by many, to be more conservative than W.

Oddly enough, I discovered Free Republic when I was googling something about W. and among the hits was one of those “A Day in the Life of the Bush Family” threads.

I don't remember McCain being the Conservative choice in 2000. I remember him being the only GOP candidate to the left of Bush, and it still came down to him & Bush.

Not everyone has learned that lesson. Bush still wants validation from Clinton & Obama, and would rather fight his own voters.

Lost me when he said , “Bill Clinton is my brother from another mother “. Wasn’t much better than Obama. After succumbing to pressure he gave us Alito, thank God

His daddy was a member in good standing of the now...
His son is a chip off the old block.
Him and Mcpain and his gang of however many are responsible for our current financial woes.

Fair post—I knew some high ranking folks in that administration as well.

They were all very professional and friendly.

Imho they were also naive.

There was a Deep State operating behind the scenes—in some cases literally under their noses—and they had no clue what they were dealing with....

and now we are left to deal with it.

I should have seen it coming after the Vince Foster murder during the Clinton administration. While a few Republicans in Congress wanted to get to the bottom of it most Republicans kept their heads firmly buried in the sand.
