This thread should prove entertaining (zeepers).
Those are the monsters who attacked Ukrainians living in the Donbas with mortars and shelling on a near daily basis from 2014 until 2022. They killed over 14,000 ppl, most of whom were civilians. They targeted their own ppl for years and I’m supposed to feel sorry for them when Russia “invades” Ukraine?
What about all those Russian Neo-Nazis close to Putin?
Disgusting that the USAF should be hosting and honoring the heirs of Nazism. And that filthy wounded Azov guys walks American soil.
You sure do a lot of commenting, nothing wrong with that. It would be nice to see you get more active in posting articles that represent your “ opinions”.
In other words, links please? I post many supporting my “ opinions”.
The Biden Regime never met a monster they didn't like.
Heads up
Oh I can’t wait to see this one fisked.
It is refreshing to see that there are still some people who can see the truth. And when Russia finally decided enough is enough and decided to sort things out many got upset, how Russia dares to do something about it. What is reminiscent of the Cuban crises when the shoe was on the other foot.
The WW2 OUN was never fascist, but a number of men from its' minority Mel'nyk branch were co-opted by the Germans and trained as police auxiliaries. As such they had a peripheral role in the Jewish pogroms, under German orders, but that's all. In any case they're all dead now, and Ukraine today is no more Nazi than France or Germany. This piece is just dirty propaganda, put out to fool the ignorati into believing that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is some sort of righteous crusade.
Reading assignment is Chapters 6-8 of "The Reconstruction of Nations" by Timothy Snyder, if any of you can tear yourselves away from yewtewb. The interwar years and WW2 in what is now eastern Ukraine were a very turbulent period, what with being overtaken by Stalin, then Hitler, then Stalin again in the course of just 3-4 years. Snyder covers the OUN in great detail here, and again in his monumental book "Badlands".
They've morphed themselves into "Eurasianists", and their books are required reading in schools and military academies. Ilyn, Gumilev, and Dugin spring to mind. Not just a lunatic fringe, but a lunatic core of Putin's political philosophy. If you can't face reading a book, you can get hits from any search engine.
Of course here in the US nazism is perfectly legal. Just like the KKK, the mobs, satanists, islamists, and a number of other organizations geared toward violence and harm that has to be proved was done by the people in these groups for the group. And many times it is leveled to even hate crimes. So what’s the big deal? It’s been around here in the US for a couple of hundred years. Got anything new?

Well, Timothy Snyder supports the Ukraine in the proxy war against Russia, and likens Trump to Hitlser, so naturally you cite him as 'elevated reading'. You sneer, "If any of you can tear yourselves away from yewtewb," as if you're wholly unaware that we spent many, many months under a 24/7 tsunami of Youtube posts by Ukrainian apologists on FR reverently quoting Denys Davidov and other Ukrainian sources as if conveying received wisdom.
I am faintly curious about how your mind works, so I'll ask, if Trump's speeches are broadcast on Youtube, does that make them 'FAKE NEWS'?
Your 'reading assignment' author also says Trump's candidacy was a 'Russian operation'. Snyder has worked to crowd fund upgrades to Ukrainian air defenses. He's a Ukrainian operative and therefore, your guiding light.

Snyder in Lviv, Ukraine, September 2014
Snyder launched a $1.25m crowdfunding to upgrade Ukraine's air defense.[57][58] According to Snyder, the only way to end the war is for Putin's Russia to "win by losing", because only if Ukraine wins will it be possible for the dictator to leave the scene, and for the country to start a democratic process that will benefit Russia itself. Snyder is on the list of 200 Americans barred from entering Russian territory, under sanctions announced by the Russian government in November 2022.[59]
In 2015, Snyder delivered a series of lectures in Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv. The lectures, which were delivered in Ukrainian, were open to the public and focused on Snyder's historical research as well as the contemporary political situation in Ukraine.[60]

Marlène Laruelle commented [26] that "Contrary to [Snyder's] claims, the Kremlin does not live in an ideological world inspired by Nazi Germany, but in one in which the Yalta decades, the Gorbachev-Yeltsin years, and the collapse of the Soviet Union still constitute the main historical referents and traumas."[64]

Views on the Trump presidency
Asked in early 2017 how the agenda of the Trump administration compared with Adolf Hitler's rise to power, Snyder said that history "does not repeat. But it does offer us examples and patterns, and thereby enlarges our imaginations and creates more possibilities for anticipation and resistance".[74] Elaborating in 2021 on the resonance of Nazi history within Donald Trump's claim to a landslide victory, Snyder recalled the German Reich's "stab in the back" lie that its army did not really lose the First World War, but rather, Jews and left-wingers betrayed "true Germans" on the home front, leading to defeat. This lie, when repeated and expanded by Hitler to a claim that Jews were responsible for everything that is wrong, fueled anti-Semitism and led to the Holocaust.[75] Trump's "big lie" tears the very fabric of factuality, said Snyder, echoing Hannah Arendt, by denying verifiable reality and forcing believers to accept an illogical premise that Democrats rigged the 2020 election only for the presidency and not for members of Congress. It requires adoption of a conspiracy theory in which everyone is against the believer, and the high stakes of the lie demand action including violence.[76]
In a May 2017 interview with Salon, he warned that the Trump administration would attempt to subvert democracy by declaring a state of emergency and take full control of the government, similar to Hitler's Reichstag fire: "it's pretty much inevitable that they will try".[77] He repeated the warning in Commonweal on November 2, 2020: "The plan is not to win the popular (or even the electoral) vote, but rather to stay in power some other way."[78] According to Snyder, "Trump's campaign for president of the United States was basically a Russian operation."[79] Snyder also warned that Trump's lies would lead to tyranny, as democracy is impossible in a society divided between true believers and everyone else, asserting that the only cure is truth.[79][80]
In January 2021 Snyder published an essay in The New York Times on the future of the GOP in response to the siege of the United States Capitol, blaming Trump and his "enablers", Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, for the insurrection fueled by their claims of election fraud, writing that "the breakers have an even stronger reason to see Trump disappear: It is impossible to inherit from someone who is still around. Seizing Trump's big lie might appear to be a gesture of support. In fact, he observed, a big lie can survive the liar, and in the case of Cruz and Hawley, it expresses a wish for Trump's political death."[81][82]
Keep in mind, you are posting to a self-proclaimed neocon.
As such, that one is assuredly wrong again, as they’ve been wrong every time before.
Excellent post. These people think that if one is a Yale professor, his word is golden. I’ll give Snyder credit for having done extensive historical research, but books such as “Bloodlands” and “Black Earth” are soaked with his globalist spin.
And now he seems to be openly shilling for Biden or Obama of whoever it is running this caca-show. I lose lots of respect for anybody who takes that stance.
I’ve noticed a few zeepers singing Snyder’s praises which does not surprise me. Ad I’ve said before, most zeepers aren’t even American and most want Biden (or whoever the Democrat nominee ends up being) to win or steal the upcoming election.
Ah, yes. And then there’s that. A “proud neocon” in his own words.
(And zeepers always seem to be so proud of themselves. What’s up with that?)
