Did you post that correcting me?
You didn’t have to. lol
I already saw General Flynn’s response yesterday.

Perhaps you didn’t read the subject
of the thread. It was asking the SOURCE of the lies.
I complied. I knew it was false.
There’s no way President Trump would pick Flynn as a VP.
For the past 5 months now I have thought the
VP pick might be Tim Scott.

“He would mop the floor with Kamala in a VP debate.”

My guess is that the VP pick will be Tim Scott.
Unfortunately, he might be too kind to her.

Rubio, JD Vance, Tim Scott, Vivek, Burgum were there...

But did you notice President Trump mentioned
one of them during the debate? Tim Scott.

“I saw one of them. The post contained a link to a fake FEC (Federal Election Commission) page. As fakes go, it was quite good.”

Foreign government trying to influence the election?

Forrest Gump would mop the floor with her.

Lots of stories out there that are totally false or only slightly true. Like Zelenskyy buying a big yacht. Or his wife buying a diamond studded bikini.(some accounts say it was his mistress, not his wife). The whole thing with Epstein and the young girls used as prostitutes seems to imply a lot of sex going on with the uber rich and uber powerful. I would not doubt that some are afflicted with the kiddy sex syndrome. The Congressional hush money alone seems to say the rich families are giving their sons and daughters to work as aides is selling them into an exclusive brothel—worse than Hollywood of old.

“The latest tactic is to put out a story that contains a part that can easily be debunked as cover for the underlying story that is actually true and damaging.”

Good post.

This has been a Deep State tactic for many decades.

It has been widely used with the JFK assassination—multiple kooky theories mixed in with legitimate evidence.

It is an old favorite of UFO debunkers—find your favorite kook to help smear legitimate witnesses.

I wouldn’t bother getting them to explain their stupidity.

There are a few complete and total jackasses on this subject, the same idiots who were saying the day Trump let Flynn go that Flynn lied and deserved everything he got.

It is not worth arguing with mental midgets like this, and there are at least two of them on this single thread who think Flynn lied to Pence, committed treason, and probably the same dimwits who think General Flynn should have been prosecuted under the Logan Act because he talked to the Russian Ambassador before Inauguration Day.

Yes. These same people are actually on Free Republic. These people fully support what was done to General Flynn.

The same idiots that accuse Flynn of treason are the kind of people that our Founders wanted to protect us against, people who, if they were in power, would use “Treason” against anyone they didn’t like in the same fashion banana republic dictators do everywhere across time.

Yes, I have read the information on his conviction. It was something democrats don’t get prosecuted for, or RINOs. Flynn was bated and microscopes because he went against Obama and supported Trump. The thing is, he understood the intelligence system and was a threat.

I read one of the posts above by someone who said he thought Michael Flynn was an idiot.

The more I have read about this, the more convinced I am that they regarded Michael Flynn as an existential threat to them. I do believe he knew where the bodies were buried.

And he is no dummy or idiot. He was considered by everyone to be the sharpest mind in the intelligence community. Which as we know now, is what made him a target.

His one mistake was not seeing the unprecedented abuse of governmental power and media collaboration to silence him that was in store for him.

And I find that to be an interesting mistake, and the more I found out about him, the more I realized he was a real patriot. He believes it. He believes in his country. Still, after all that was done to him, he believes.

And that is at the root of why they were able to attack him and sideline him. Because he still believed the FBI was playing on the same team that he was, the United States Team.

He did not consider that the FBI was doing the bidding of something other that what we know as the United States of America.

And I forgive him that wholly for that.

There was a reason that Obama told Trump in his one transition meeting with him to steer clear of only two people whom he named: One was Kim Jong Il.

The other was General Michael Flynn.

You would expect some of these people on this very forum who decry Flynn as treasonous and stupid might wonder about why Obama would name only two people he regarded as dangerous and to be avoided, and General Flynn would be one of them. They might want to consider that when they open their mouths. They won't, if their posting history is any indicator, but they should.

I take this seriously. What happened to General Flynn should fill any American with both outrage and trepidation. That is open tyranny. General Flynn, who is quite apparently regarded as an existential threat to not only the Deep State, but to the individuals who enabled and carried out the assault on him, prompted them to exceed the bounds of governmental abuse in ways never before seen.

They came to realize that there were not going to be any ramifications of persecuting a political opponent, and they judged that if they obscured their actions enough, they could avoid any actual punishment by labeling their opponents conspiracy theorists or worse. Muddy the waters enough to make people loose focus on the issue at hand.

So they did it, because it was worth the risk to them. And so far it has worked out for them. But that can still change, and if Trump makes it back to the Presidency, he won't be the same Trump he was in 2016. And they will do anything to keep him from getting there. Every evil and illegality will be on the table for them.

I have paid attention to this governmental malice, because I see it as unprecedented in American history, and is a turning point. If this is where this country is going to go, and it continues unchecked, we have the potential of seeing The United States become one of the darkest despotisms in the history of the world. The end point is a county like The German Democratic Republic, except the size of the USA, powered and harnessed by AI and surveillance technology.

It is what Churchill described in his "Finest Hour" speech in 1940 where he said:

"...But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science..."

And that is why I view what was done to General Michael Flynn as the harbinger of much more egregious and widespread abuses unless it is stopped. And it can be stopped. If the process of stopping it does not begin in a Trump Administration should he win, then it is a far different situation.

I don't think I am being hysterical here. I have studied enough history to know that if we discard conformance to the Constitution, there is absolutely nothing special about being America that will prevent us from following in form the worst despotisms of history.

I've posted this before, but if you are interested, it is a timeline I made of this historic abuse of power in order to better understand it. (It is a PDF in the form of a chronological table of events with links, explanations and people involved:
