The Libertarian Party is fracturing.

Did the Libertarian Party actually read Kennedy’s platform? Raise the minimum wage, increase spending and regulations. Hell, even his get tough on the border policy is not in line with the Libertarian position. The party really is a joke.

It can only help us-at least in Colorado.
To: Angelino97
They’re nuts if they think Kennedy is about liberty.

As is the Rat Party. We should all help RFK, Jr. destroy the old Rat Party in the Deep Blue states.

I was giving 2016 Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson serious consideration, particularly in light of Trump promising more spending to do things "better than anybody's ever seen before".
The #1 reason I voted for Trump was that Gary Johnson came out in favor for more carbon taxes. Call me crazy, but there's nothing small government about giving the government yet more ability to control us with more taxes.

Way to go!
Three-way race between MAGA, Dems, and Libs!
Dems and Libs will split the left vote.
Trump could actually win CO!
And won't the lefties SCREAM! Yeah, it was fine and dandy for them when Ranked Choice Voting had two republicans against one democrat in the House and Senate in Alaska in 22.

There's always been a certain faction within the LP that tried to recruit Big Name Politicians. They were the ones who got excited about Bob Barr and Gary Johnson.
The idea is, that if they run a Big Name Politician, it will mean the LP are players, in the same league as the Democrats and Republicans.

Not necessarily. For some of them, it is a rather of priorities of which is the crucial issue. For some Libertarians, bodily integrity is the most important, so no pro-shot policy is pre-eminent.
The Libertarian Party as a whole punted during Covid because half of them bought Fauci's line and made a horrible, horrible exception. There are two (plus) major factions in the Libertarian Party, they are either really pro-life (human rights for the unborn) or rabidly pro-abortion (none of government's business at any level). Some have freedom to smoke all the weed (or use any narcotic whatsoever) as issue #1, and others who don't want to police involved using it for an excuse for anything whatsoever but have it far down on their "To Do" list.
The party in organizes along a minimal government, non-aggression principle, but the reality sorts out very differently.

Wrong, this is a rat op. The L candidate is a far lefty who would draw from the rat base. The dem tools in the Libertarian party wanted Kennedy because they figured Kennedy running as a Libertarian would hurt Trump more than Biden.

No he wouldn’t. We can disagree on who it helps/hurts. We’ve got nothing to lose so if he helps the rats nothing changes. Help us and they wet their pants.

I listen to the Tom Woods podcast. He is a traditional Catholic libertarian leader. He is more Von Mises and Hayek than Tommy Chong and Woody Harrelson.

To: gibsonguy
Yep, tying RFK to the libertarians hurts Trump, not the Democrats, and it makes the democrats reject RFK as an option.
