It’s unfair to make white people pay reparations too since no white person today was ever a slave holder.
How about its unfair to whites who never owned slaves to pay slavery reparations to blacks who never were slaves?
How about its not fair to make whites who came to the country AFTER slavery was abolished, to pay reparations.
How about its unfair to make whites who never had slaves pay reparations?
Its been 160 years. It didnt just end yesterday.
This has all been a socialist manifested divide and conquer bs. We had better race relations back in the 70s and 80s before all this incited hatred started.
Yup. Lotta african and middle eastern raids on european coasts murdered white men and kidnapped white women and children. Barbary pirates.
I have the ORIGINAL pre-WWI documents proving all 4 of my grandparents legally immigrating through Ellis Island when they were children.
My bloodlines weren’t in America until 1914. I’m not paying into illegal kin punishment or collective punishment. Both illegal.
We left in 1996. It was bad then, but we knew it would only get worse.
My Irish paternal grandparents came over from England in 1912 and my Irish mother emigrated here from England in 1950 to marry my USAF father. I’m not paying a dime in reparations for something that happened in America before that.
I’ll admit that my grandmother’s grand-parents owned slaves in the 1820s and ‘30s before freeing them, however her father and two other of my great-grandparents fought for the Union to free the slaves. Aside from that, California was a non-slave, free state when admitted to the Union in 1850.
