I’m a Jew and I love cheeseburgers as well as Sausage and peppers, shell fish and a good pork chop. I’m not kosher. Jews who practice Kashrut do not eat meat and cheese together, nor do they eat anything that does not chew its cud. For years I had a kosher home, but when we brought in traif (non-kosher food) such as chinese food, we ate on paper plates.

I remember when George McGovern got “grilled” for asking for a glass of milk with a kosher hot dog in a kosher deli in New York. You do not mix dairy and meat in kosher tradition. Kosher delis do not have any dairy products. If you “keep kosher” you have different tableware for meat and dairy.
