Patti’s right. I have a buddy and he and I have been close friends for 61 years. His son died in his mid thirties in about 2020. He had basically the same problems as Hunter. Namely, amphetamines’, cocaine, booze, beat up his wife, no work ethic, and so on. He’s now dead leaving an absolutely gorgeous daughter heart broke at 8 years old. He died after laying in a hospital bed for many weeks. In the weeks before his death, his heart had an ejection fraction of about 30%. He basically committed suicide by drugs (multiple illicit) and booze over a period of the last several years of his life.

Like Hunter, his family spoiled him to death. I have said many times what he needed was to go to jail a couple years. One would not likely work. But two might have.

Hopefully Judge Norieka will agree and Hunter MIGHT thus live a little longer. If he wants guys like me to EVER like him, he better go see Navy, give her a hug and apologize on his knees! Then arrange for regular monthly payments from some of the money he stole.

Patti is right. She's not condoning Hunter's behavior - just pointed out that bad choices have bad consequences.

"Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season." - Hebrews11:25. Sin has pleasure but only for a season. In the end it brings death.

Like all of us, Hunter needs Jesus in his life. Jesus - not Joe, Jill, religion, lawyers, money or power - can deliver him from his demons and his sin/weakness.
