I don't blame Ukraine. We're not serious about giving Ukraine what they need to beat Russia.

The MIC would like to see the Russo-Ukranian War to last 10 years. After all, it's good for business.

I blame Zelensky for refusing to negotiate from the beginning, and for letting corruption claim portions of the funds they supposedly 'need'.

We've given them about $180 billion dollars America desperately needs to protect its own borders. How much do we have to give the Ukraine before you think we're 'serious'?

I know that Biden and other NATO peers talk up whatever we give - most of the 80+ 'warplanes' are obsolete. They don't need F-16 trained pilots to fly most of the older obsolete aircraft they're being given.

Older rebuilt F-16's won't begin to trickle to the Ukraine until the end of the year and the promised delivery will occur gradually until completion in 2028. There's a worldwide backlog on modern F-16's and as they come off the production and some of them are given to Belgium, Belgium will give its rebuilt older F-16's to the Ukraine, slowly over the course of 4 years.

To give more aircraft, that 'new' pilots are likely to lose anyway against veteran Russian pilots, would deplete US and allie military preparedness. Why should America become vulnerable militarily  so the Ukraine can lose the war while fully equipped with obsolete aircraft and some newly trained F-16 pilots?

The Ukraine lacks sufficient air defense to protect the air strip they would have to build near the border. So the airstrip would be bombed even while under construction and certainly any warplanes, even the obsolete ones the Ukraine may get, would be destroyed. That airstrip would have to be built while under fire near the border with Russia, because the Ukraine doesn't have the air defenses to protect them flying toward the border.

Zelensky is simply panicking and flailing as the Ukraine dies on his watch, his citizens conscripted and under equipped before being sent to the front lines without adequate air support. This is a sick tragedy we should never have supported with tax payer funds.

Biden continues to throttle the Ukrainian war effort by limiting the Ukrainian fighter trainee intake. He agreed to let NATO allies supply warplanes only after they threatened to supply them without his permission. Even after this agreement, he is hampering the speed at which European-suppplied airframes can be deployed by holding up training efforts.

Biden isn’t senile. He’s the same devious underhanded person he’s always been. Denmark and the Netherlands forced his hand on the aircraft transfer. He’s striking back by delaying their use in combat for as long as he can.

Biden desperately needs the Ukraine to win because of all the blackmail evidence they have against him and the usefullness of using the Ukraine as a money laundering head quarters, particularly as the election approaches in November.

Biden knows that the pilots don't need F-16 training until there are F-16's to fly. Until then, their pilots should be able to fly the obsolete aircraft they've been given until they are shot down by newer 4th generation Russian aircraft.

In my earlier post I explained that the Ukraine won't begin to receive a trickle of the older, rebuilt F-16s promised to them by Belgium until the end of the year, and then they will trickle in based on production backlogs of state of the art F-16's promised to Belgium.

No F-16's, no need for F-16 pilots. The war is on track to end before they ever get F-16's.

Here's a novel idea: Use those first 20 Ukraine F-16 pilots and have them train the rest of the Ukraine pilots.

Ukraine said that they were only sending veteran fully-qualified MiG-29 pilots for F-16 training, so the training is type familiarization, not a full flight school. the Ukraines should be able to handle putting together their own school with their first batch of F-16 trained pilots.

I believe the Ukraine is lying about only sending veteran fully-qualifed MiG-29 pilots for F-16 training. Others have said some pilots are new to flying and all the pilots have to struggle to cross the language barrier, so capacity to function in English was part of the requirements.

They may do well to use your 'train the trainer' method but the Ukraine won't receive enough F-16's (said  to be arriving slowly starting end of 2024 until 2028) to save themselves, particularly with their lack of air defenses to protect the jets and runways they'd need to construct.

What weapon systems would you add to make America's effort more serious?

As of January 2023, the U.S. military had an estimated 3,500 M1A1/A2 Abrams tanks in storage.

We need to get our factories going with artillery shells.

But we're not really doing any of that.

Zelensky said earlier last year that tanks are nice but they needed advanced jets to win. He was correct, the tanks we sent were not protected with sufficient air defenses and are reoutinely destroyed by Russia. Tanks are hard to reposition and some ended up on the wrong side of rivers, like the Dniper. Tanks are not game changers. They have their limitations as has been demonstrated thus far. That's why Zelensky is not complaining about tanks, or tank training, but about F-16 training.

Would 1000 M1 Abrams out of storage and with ammo, fuel and experienced crews make a difference?

Easier to defend the territory plus with planes. The Russians won't be able to make a breakthrough.

Just as Zelensky said from the beginning, "Tanks are nice but we need advanced fighter jets."

Without adequate air support systems, the tanks are sitting targets.

Biden continues to help the Russian by slow walking F-16 pilot training and also by restricting the number of slots and the urgency of the program.

It's a huge money maker for Lockheed Martin, RTX Corporation, Northrop Grumman, Boeing and General Dynamics.

That's why we are not trying to wrap up this thing.

Lockheed Martin has a backlog of over a year for ordered F-16s from nations around the world. Belgium is awaiting manufacture of it's F-16's as are many other nations. The Ukraine will receive Belgiums old rebuilt F-16's at a slow pace as one, by one, Belgium's order from lockheed is delivered. 'We' are not dragging 'our' feet. Brandon is desparate to win and hide his crimes in the Ukraine.

You can’t get peace until both sides really want it, and both sides get some kind of security.

Both armies are not depleted. So the war will continue.

The Korean War continued because both sides realized that there was no point to waste lives for few acres of territory.

Putin is fighting the war for his political survival. If he loses, he may get overthrown.

The Ukrainians are preventing the Holodomor from happening again.

The Ukrainian military is depleted. I started posting about the Ukrainian official's pleas for more ammunition last year. It's a slaughter, with under supplied Ukrainian conscripts going up against well supplied Russian troops. Putin is popular -the public correctly sees this NATO proxy war as a threat to their sovereinty.

The Ukrainians are not preventing the Holodomor from happening again - the Deep State is protecting it's Ukrainian headquarters while they labor to destroy Russia. NATO's plan for world peace, which the neocons simply do not want, is to disarm the rest of the world so that only NATO may be in control. People like me want to avoid NATO's 'New (One) World Order' comprised of unelected fascists (NATO, WHO, UN, WEF).

So how long can they keep those plane’s flying when the incompetent, corrupt government officials sell all the spare parts?

Actually, an analysis  done by CSIS, which wants the Ukraine to win this war, found that the Ukraine is thoroughly unequipped and lacking trained personel needed to service the F-16's.

First the Ukraine will receive a hodgepodge of old aircraft which increases labor/parts/training load because the jets vary in model/manufacture so specific planes will require specific handling.

Also, it's not like the US isn't supporting training. The Ukraine was just given $3.3 billion in that last aid package the traitors in Congress supported for the purpose of training (weapons, individuals, units), purchasing arms on the global market, and for the Ukraine to use to purchase directly from US manufactureres. Here's a quote  from the CSIS analysis:

Ukraine-related military activities ($17 billion) funds the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative (USAI) ($13.8 billion) and U.S. intelligence operations ($3.3 billion). USAI provides funds for three things: training that Ukraine might need for new weapons, individuals, or units; the United States buying arms on the global market, which it has done extensively in the past to acquire Soviet-standard equipment that Ukrainian forces are accustomed to using; and Ukraine purchasing weapons and equipment directly from U.S. manufacturers.

What Is in the Ukraine Aid Package, and What Does it Mean for the Future of the War?

“I suspect the pay would be very good.”

Not likely. The United States pays Ukrainian pensions, government salaries, first responders, humanitarian aid etc. The Ukrainian economy is gone and the region is now the US’s 51st welfare state.

Biden knows the Ukraine will not even begin to get a trickle of F-16’s until the end of the year, but the MSM has been pointing to the sky, saying ‘de planes! de planes are coming!” (old Fantasy Island television program reference) for over a year now.

Whatever Zelensky and his generals don’t skim off the aid package for themselves (yeah, they have a corruption pandemic) is not as much as they feel they ‘need’ to keep this farce going.

If you'd substituted Obama/Jarrett/Rice, I would have agreed. Biden is a nasty piece of work, but he's more of a mouthpiece now than an independent player.
