Looks like DEI soldering is going to be put to the test soon. We don’t need white men to win a war anyways, right? RIGHT?
It will brash fires everywhere.
I liked a few BS songs but Neil Young can kiss my southern white @ss.
I hope Neil Young will remember....
At his age I doubt he remembers to put in his pants in the morning.
Anyway....
🎶”Southern man don’t need him around anyhow!”🎶
“…..So Russia gets to seize, in an armed invasion, 70+ thousands of sq km from a neighboring country and declare that it’s now Russia? Adolf Hitler didnt start out as blatant”
Yes Russia gets to do that because America did the same when they wanted to. Hawaii was a sovereign nation seized by the US military because they simply wanted it. Texas, and California were a part of Mexico until they were seized by the US. Borders change all them. The headline here is that the Ukranian Russian border is absolutely irrelevant to American interests. It only matters to a few hundred psychopaths in the deep state.
There were always rules to this, even if they were often violated.
Hawaii voted for annexation, because by that time immigrants far outnumbered native Hawaiians - if you want to cite Hawaii as a bad example, immigration is a good start. Texas is one too. Anglo immigrants became a majority (invited in by a previous Mexican government no less). Then Texas, part of Mexico, joined a revolt by other Mexican states against a new Mexican government installed by a coup. The other states lost, but Texas won.
Those cases were legit. Others not so much. The Philippines was the most egregious, but Puerto Rico counts too.
There were always consequences to land-grabbing, if the neighbors could effectively organize against it. Thats why the European status quo was restored at the Congress of Vienna, and at Versailles. Since 1945 there has been a quite effective set of international rules about these things. Russia is trying to break these rules.
Western Ukraine is actually Poland. Thats not the status quo.
It mostly wasn’t ethnically Polish, and it wasnt part of modern post WWI Poland other than the very western slice (maybe 1/5 of modern Ukraine west of the Dneiper). And that was from @1921-1939 only.
You are mainly talking about Lviv (Lwow) and its hinterland.
These days I doubt many in either Poland or Ukraine (even western Ukraine) considers Lviv Polish. You would have to ask them of course.
More, the bulk of 1939 Eastern Poland is now in Belorussia. If Poland wanted to make an issue of it (they haven’t), about half of Belorussia (or more, just a swag from the map), used to be Poland.
I imagine that quite a lot of Belorussians would like to be Polish, but I doubt the Poles want them.
