Yet all kinds of “social scientists” claim that White Flight is caused by unwarranted paranoia and/or b/c Whites are racists.
Crime is never considered as to the reason for White Flight.
Chris Rock is also right when he said that when he goes to an ATM, he isn’t looking over his shoulder “for the media,” he’s looking over his shoulder for (the n word).
He also is the one that said if you find yourself on MLK drive — RUN.
“And I don’t give a f*** where you are in America, if you on Martin Luther King Boulevard, there’s some violence going down.
Later, Rock gives advice to anyone who finds themselves lost on an MLK-named street: “Run! Run! Run!”
That's pretty much how I treat Atlanta when I go through there.
Mississippi used to have a quick solution to crimes like this...
There, fixed it.
A few decades ago I was a network control manager given a team of techs to manage, including a couple blacks. Upper management complained that I needed to change things, including reducing two techs going out on jobs instead of one. The techs resisted my request, and one tough black guy who lived in the ghetto asked me to go on the next call to fix equipment at a food-stamp outlet. This guy was tough as they come, and spoke of his need for his shotgun at home.
So here I am in my suit and tie, him in blue jeans and T-shirt, as we pulled up and hopped out of our van. Over 50 black people in line outside the outlet, screaming that they want "their money". My worker said my job was to watch his back as he unloaded tools and equipment from the van, otherwise he would get jumped and robbed. We went inside, repaired the modems and computers, and back at the office told them to always send at least two people on jobs, to hell with the upper managers.
“Why do you blame the victim instead of the criminals?”
Because people need to take REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS.
You mean this is not sarcasm?
I stopped reading at “Jackson”. Dangerous city.
“You mean this is not sarcasm?”
In South Africa it’s not sarcasm, and that does seem to be on the path we’re on, as Trump is just too ‘brash’ for many otherwise-normal people to vote for.
