That’s the thing about these classics. Familiarity and age breed contempt. Rust (and Big 3 unreliability) apart, it’s one reason you don’t see many of them on the roads any more. Takes decades and scarcity before these classic designs are treated with the respect they deserve. Contempt morphs into reverence.
