Cute story... great video of the two of ‘em.
It’s a Real Life parable.
Chickenlips, thx for posting this story.
Well, Mr cynical., it’s on CCTV.
“The boys’ father should have politely declined any such gifts and bestoments. Too much is being made of a simple act of kindness.”
I would disagree. The kid is being taught to do the right thing. His act of kindness was something he felt compelled to do, due to his upbringing. No one told him to go give the disheveled looking man his dollar. The kid felt enriched by the act, the man was moved by the kid’s compassion. I see a win all around.
Amidst all the dark clouds in the sky, a few rays of sunshine poke thru.
Nice to read on a Sunday morning!
I have a nephew who is homeless, no one can help him because he steals from everyone who tries. His own mother has an order of protection against him.
He’s an ex-con who’s been in prison, he’s been a problem his whole life.
I wouldn’t call him dangerous, but I do know he’s been kicked out of every shelter he’s been in. He’s extremely predjudiced against anyone except whites
( he gets that from his dad, my brother in law, along with the mental issues).
I don’t want him around-I don’t trust him at all. He’s a bad apple, sorry to say.
I’m glad you have done what you did. I’m sure there are a lot of homeless people who are NOT like my nephew. His problems run in the family.
He’s only 30…
It's never to late to snap out of it.
The young man is getting parented by Adults! Thank you Parents...
Yeah, but his dad isn’t much better. His dad is in his 60s…..
I’ve known him for over 40 years.
My wife’s younger brother…
I’m very cynical that any of this happened as described. I think it’s MORE likely that someone wanted to create a viral video (and the ad revenue it would generat of a black kid giving a white homeless guy his last dollar.
I’m with you....no way this happened organically.

I totally agree.....;)
I see the same thing in my grandkids.
They give me hope.A reason to keep fighting.
Oh yes......you see your kids and grandkids grown up to be good citizens and it swells you with pride that you did something good......with God’s Grace of course.
