Is he being jailed pending court appearance or let go to return to the house?
No INVADERS in the walled, well-protected homes of the elites in CONgre$$? Citizens suffer.
because he messed with a rich persons home
Waiting for the trend of “Squat This House” reality shows to begin.
Been to So. Florida lately?
Depending upon location, that could be 10M.
It has a bit of Amityville vibe, IMO.
Perfectly fine valuation on that house, right there.
Instead of a 15 year sentence, he should be sentenced to 30 days and then not allowed to leave prison. See how he likes it.
EC
“ Andaloro is said to have saw several others…”
I’m speechless.
Well the article says he was ordered to return to court. That would indicate he walked out in the free air when the judge dismissed him.
Squatter Brian Rodriguez was indicted on charges of burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal trespass and criminal mischief.
I'm sure it is in Queens, and it is way underpriced if it were in Greater Los Angeles or the San Francisco Bay area.
But that price is over twices as high as the same house in most of the Heartland. That's at best a $350,000 house in my neck-o-the-woods.
He should also be charged with any damage he or his "tenants" caused to the property.
What are the odds he will ever return?
That property would be a steal in the Los Angeles area at $1M.
I live in a neighborhood of modest post-war, in need of a LOT of repair homes outside of Los Angeles, ≈ 1600 sq.ft.
You won’t find anything in this neighborhood under $1.5 million - and you’ll fight 14 other people to get it, as two of my new neighbors had to do. That, and you’ll be dumping a minimum of $100K to upgrade and repair the property (sold “as is”).

Life goes on for the living and they attempt to make
their money in many ways, legal or not. I spent some
time in NYC back in the mid 1960s at the behest of the
Federal Gov’t. I enjoyed it and especially all the free
events you could enjoy free as a member of the Military.
Wouldn’t want to live there as a permanent resident.
Which explains the exodus from CA to TX. Sell your 1,600 sq ft home that you've had for 30 years for millions, then retire to Texas and build a mini-South Fork and still have money left over.
Not sure how it is today, but 20 years ago when we were contemplating a move to the San Antonio area, we could get 1.5 times the house there that we had in the Lansing area.
Still regret not moving out of Michigan...
We’ve had neighbors sell their homes here and move to areas in the mid-west, buy 10 acres, and build custom home on lake-front property, etc.
Not too long ago, areas in coastal central California hated us b/c we were able to buy large homes there with cash from selling our homes here - driving up the price of homes and pricing the locals out of their own neighborhoods.
Not so any longer. It’s very expensive there as well.
