Failing state. When the (irreparably racist) Hashemite Kingdom is toppled, Israel should kick all the Arab squatters in the so-called West Bank, eastern Jerusalem, and Gaza, right into Jordan.

King Abdullah should be begging the Saudis to allow him and his family to return to their ancestral home in Mecca. Otherwise, they’ll be tortured, mutilated and murdered by Iranian proxies.

Was there ever any doubt about that? It seems a given that well monied, organized and armed Hamas would have been calling the shots, long before Oct. 7th.

Ha! The Saudis will never do that, willingly. It may not be their top fear but the last thing they want is the descendants of the rightful ruler of Mecca to actually live in Mecca. There are still tribes in Saudi Arabia that support the king of Jordan. The Saudis will support Abdullah in Jordan if and when needed.

It’s possible but I doubt it. 6,000 protestors in Jordan, it’s not an immediate threat it just makes noise but that noise can influence more people “in the street” as they said. Jordan will not let Hamas dictate its policy. It does need to let people vent a bit, and better they vent against Israel. In response Jordan is airdropping aid into Gaza to show it is doing something to help the Palestinians. But Hamas will not be allowed to protest against Jordan, the Jordanians don’t play. They slaughtered the PLO (who were backed by Syria) in the 1970-1971 and wouldn’t hesitate to do the same to Hamas or other Islamists who actually threatened the monarchy.
