“Maybe my children and grand children will see a better country here again.”

From your keyboard to Gods computer screen.
True hope and a prayer.

Didn’t Biden claim to have visited Mandela in Jail or some such? I recall some balderdash about his alleged connections to Mandela which turned out to be false.

Maybe Trump wants a visit from Biden while he is in jail?

It doesn’t matter how they cover Trump at this point.

Mandela is a familiar name and was seen as political prisoner by much of the world. Now Trump has associated himself with that familiarity.

Those soccer moms who always need their “asses kissed for votes” don’t know or care Mandela was a communist, but they do know he was thrown in prison.

I have a great wish for people to feel shame when they contemplate doing things like cheating on elections and that they would decide not to do so because it would being shame and disapproval from their neighbors, friends and families.
I think people don’t show enough self restraint when they are tempted to do wrong. Maybe if they didn’t want to disappoint their families and communities they wouldn’t cheat or allow cheating on elections. We seem to have lost sight of right and wrong and now most anything goes. I think we can go back to that but it will take time and a desire to do better by each of us.

Many of you are missing the point.

We got it the first time around - and got to the point: bad example. We did not miss the point.

There are lots of historical people who have been prosecuted by a corrupt system for their politics. Mandela is a very poor choice <- an understatement.
