Lol, please stop.
That “1000 cruise missiles a month” is an unsourced reddit post.
At least you said “please” :)
We used to say opinions are like a-holes and everyone has one. Now they are the same but also get to create information and air it out online globally.
My first wonder about the numbers is how many of them work? I wonder if they build the same crap for themselves as they build to sell to us?
Except that the Poles , after dealing with the double dealing and demands, are willing to write off the Zelensky government. Nothing worse than a politician that won’t stay bought, or shows ingratitude to those who have supported him.
“ We used to say opinions are like a-holes and everyone has one.”

Yes, “used to say”. But, IMHO, judging by the amount of Ukrainian War excrement coming our way I’d say some ZEEPERS each have many a-holes. Same thing goes for the opposing side supporters who post nonsense sources.
There are a number of sources that post legitimate and informative news on that war and seeing those posted does not irritate me.
If Mr. Zelensky wants 25 Patriot systems, give him 50! Mr. Zelensky is a hero-Patriot. The only one standing up to Hitler-Putin now. We must support this hero or all Europe falls to Ruzzians in a few weeks. Germany can not stop the massive human wave attack of Soviet Ruzzia. Poland will be lost in a week. Many NATO Nations will not fight (like Hungary and Finland). Putin will rule and the pope will come to him with a white flag to help surrender the continent. One or two big battles and all Europe will be under the thumb of Moscow for a hundred years.
lol. Except the welfare queen wouldn’t stop at ponies... he’d want unicorns. Then the Russians would just shell those too.
How much did they lose during the counteroffensive last year?
Ukraine lost enough men that they can no longer properly man their ground forces. It would appear that Ukraine lost more men in their still-born counteroffensive, than both sides combined lost at Gettysburg. There were 7,058 battlefield deaths at Gettysburg, both sides combined.
It'll be interesting to compare that to Gettysburg.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/1009988/battle-gettysburg-casualties-july-1863/
For Gettysburg, the Union figures were 23,049 total casualties; 3,155 killed; 14,529 wounded, 5,365 missing or captured.
The Confederates had 28,063 total casualties; 3,903 killed; 18,735 wounded; 5,425 missing or captured.
51,112 total casualties for both sides combined.
The Confederate side lost the battle of Gettysburg. The majority of battlefield losses in the Civil War were on the Union side. Casualty figures for the Civil War are estimates or scientific wild ass guesses. More deaths resulted from disease than battle.
https://www.historynet.com/civil-war-casualties/
UNION CIVIL WAR CASUALTIES
Combat Deaths: Over 110,000
Other Deaths*: Over 250,000
CONFEDERATE CIVIL WAR CASUALTIES
Combat Deaths: Over 95,000
Other Deaths*: Over 165,000
(*Other Deaths include, among others: disease (by far the most common cause of death), accidents, drowning, heat stroke, suicide, murder, execution.)
The western allies havent given them much vs their needs, which are great given that they are facing a numerous enemy.
The needs of Ukraine cannot be met. We are working toward $35 Trillion in debt and have no vital interest in Ukraine. It is a neighborhood problem and is not in our neighborhood.
When we have a balanced budget and no debt, we can concern ourselves with a spat between Russia and Ukraine. I am more concerned with the ever inflating dollar than the woes of Ukraine. Before we spend more on Ukraine, we have to borrow it, or just print it and inflate the dollar. Whether you keep your dollars in your pocket, a savings account, a checking account, or under the mattress, inflation reaches in like a tax and devalues them.
The defense of Ukraine is a problem Ukraine should have considered before poking the bear. Again. Ukraine's problems are not the responsibility of the citizenry of the U.S.
Hard to find the exact data on the losses by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It’s a state secret. I understand, it’s bad for morale if the word got out.
What the US has spent on Ukraine is trivial vs the real causes of the Federal budget disaster. Even general defense spending is not the issue.
The inability of Americans to understand their fiscal situation continues to amaze me. Even FR cannot get a grip on it. Its as if there is a channel deliberately blocked in millions of brains.
Medicare + Medicaid increase 2019-2023 - 38% - 2023 tot 1.450 Trillion
SS increase 2019-2023 - 30% - 2023 tot 1.3 Trillion
Interest increase 2019-2023 - 73% 2023 tot 0.65 Trillion
Defense increase 2019-2023 - 19% 2023 tot 0.805 Trillion
Total budget increase 2019-2023 - 38.6% tot 6.1 Trillion
Ukraine aid 2023 0.04 Trillion
Well, you’re basically arguing with yourself, so I thought I’d save you the effort.
Ukraine aid 2023 0.04 Trillion
0.04 Trillion = 40 Billion.
With ~333 million people in the United States, $3 paid by each person raises $1B. $40 billion requires a $120 donation by every man, woman and child in the United States, or $480 for a family of four. The purpose of the United States Government is to serve the American people, not the interests of every foreign people who get themselves embroiled in a kerfuffle with its neighbors.
What the US has spent on Ukraine is trivial vs the real causes of the Federal budget disaster. Even general defense spending is not the issue.
When Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, Defense, and interest on the debt are paid, the Tax Revenue is exhausted. The rest is all borrowing or just printing money. Just printing money acts like a tax on all the currency in circulation.
https://www.treasurydirect.gov/NP_WS/debt/current
34,598,968,534,947.36 debt as of 2024-04-04
In 1982, under President Reagan, the debt first reached $1 Trillion. It took over 200 years to get there. We are now adding $1 Trillion in less than 100 days.
The last time the debt decreased year-over-year was in 1957 under Eisenhower. As for the supposed surplus under Clinton, the debt went up every year.
We have dug ourselves into nearly a $35 Trillion dollar hole. It is time to stop digging.
