That worked pretty good for him.
Oh yes they can...
Years ago straight line winds went through the boundary waters area of MN piling up large old growth trees like cord wood. My brother-in-law worked for a logger who went to the state and told them they would take the much sought after old growth trees that had fallen, clean the area up, leave them a path through the woods wide enough to get fire trucks through, and PAY them for the trees.
The state said no. They wanted it to go naturally.
Few years later, after the trees had rotted enough to turn into kindling, lightning struck. The whole place caught on fire burning over 32,000 acres. A year later, another fire next door burned more than 75,000 acres.
Socialists simply don’t understand wealth. Wealth is one of the few things solely created by man. Understanding it is simple: Wealth is created whenever the product of labor is worth more than the cost of producing it. That’s true whether it’s building an iPhone, making a miracle drug, cutting a tree into lumber, marking a property boundary,...and a whole lot more.
Much wealth is destroyed daily. Eating a meal, driving a car, paying a tax, or simply breathing, all destroy a bit of wealth.
A nation is wealthy only when it creates more wealth than it destroys. That’s the only reason that the US is a wealthy nation. It’s system of governance allows We the People to create more wealth than that which is destroyed. Socialism has PROVEN throughout history to do just the opposite.
Point taken.
Want a 32 hour work week? Accept a 20% decrease in pay. You can hunt and fish all you want because you definitely will not be able to afford to buy much more than rice and beans.
I stand corrected then.
The CA wildfires are also a case in point.
Bernie Sanders and the other Bolsheviks are tossing out the bait for the election.
