Basically the state of the union has no bearing on anything in terms of the campaign, and never does.. it will be the talk of the town for a few days.. then it will be forgotten like it is every year.
The only way the SOTU will affect the campaign will be if Biden comes out and completely sundowns in front of the cameras.... Which is NOT likely to happen. They will pump him full of stimulants and ergoloids, and pray he can keep it together through what will probably be a short speech. (anything thinking this is going to be an Obama 2 hour plus self glorification rant will be disappointed)... I can’t imagine them knowingly planning anything more than 30 minutes, 45 minutes TOPS... HE simply has to read a teleprompter or repeat what is fed into his ear, he doesn’t have to answer questions or interact with anyone, so even though he’s mentally done, he’ll likely manage that setting fine... or at least passable.
The odds the Biden will completely fall apart are low in this situation, however, if he does, that ABSOLUTELY will have an impact on the campaign.... but any thing else, and it won’t matter in a week.
George Conway is a nobody with a loud mouth. He’s known for nothing more than being Kelly-Anne’s husband.

A kid with Down Syndrome has a better lock on being “normal” (as most of us would probably understand it) than does Joe Biden.
George Conway a conservative? What has he said that is event remotely “conservative” any time recently? The only thing I know is that he hates Donald Trump with a passion.
In any event - they are setting expectations so low for this, that if Biden even physically shows up, they will will herald it as being one of this best moments - “very much in command and in control” “really outlined how well the country is doing” “unifying figure”, etc.
And I just have to look handsome to get a date.
