I have been looking at the polling data related to RFK Jr. and it is a mess—all over the place.
He polls strongest among young people who lean Democratic but think Biden is too old.
Btw the folks who hate RFK Jr. the most are not Republicans—they are older Democrats.
Conclusion: RFK Jr. splits the Democratic Party badly. Republicans will stick to President Trump in overwhelming numbers. This is why the Democrats are freaking out and trying to keep RFK Jr. off the ballot.
RFK Jr.’s policies are all over the place—you can make a strong case (as many do here) that he is a crazy lefty but there is also a case that could be made that he holds many conservative positions. Imho that debate is irrelevant for our purposes. President Trump’s base will stick with him. It is the anti-Trump folks who will split.
That smells to me a lot like victory.
It is time we stop the pearl clutching and start being grateful for good news.
Agree. I think his run will split the RATs more than the GOP.
He needs to get on ballot on Penn, Wisconsin, and Virginia
I agree.
Those freepers are not Trump supporters. They are Rinos or independents who claim to “look at all the evidence” and make a “fair” down the middle judgement and claim moral high ground. They’re a very pious bunch.
Funny how those types always end up supporting the left.
True, that’s why the dims want him off the ballot.
“There are some Freepers here who are deeply mesmerized by the Kennedy Cult!”
There are some single-issue FReepers who are attracted to RFK, Jr. for his anti-vax views.
Replacing the regime is going to have to be a bipartisan project.
Get used to it.
The only “safe” way to remove Biden is to wait until after he accepts the nomination. Once he’s officially the nominee and he steps down or leaves for any reason they can just name someone without a single
Vote cast.
If the is removed or steps down before that then you will see the radical elements of the party put up candidates trying to get attention through the remainder of the primary.
My assumption from the start has been Biden will be removed after he accepts the nomination at the convention, and they will just name someone.. but the problem with this “saving” democrats is, their convention ends on August 22. Leaving only 11 weeks to try to build up support for someone…. Not likely to happen.
This article is a perfect example. Third party is going to take a few percentage points away from any Democrat not just Biden
