Isn’t SNAP limited to $35 per week for a single person?

I’m not ready to give up completely.

I’m hopeful Trump wins and begins to cut the federal budget and start to repay the debt. hell, I would even support raising taxes if it means cutting spending. Next, he needs to depart at least the last 10 million illegals and build the wall.

Regardless, those moves could have significant effect on the path to recovery.

The social side of things is more problematic.

When has our govt ever spent $64 a day on an average citizen for our daily needs?

What are they feeding these people? I spend maybe 20 dollars a day feeding myself if I don’t go out.

Nursing homes spend 6-8 dollars total a day for all 3 meals for seniors.

Wish I could spend 64 dollars a day on my food. I’d be sitting pretty!

I keep close track of my expenses. For the four months of October through January, I spent $50 per day ($50.74 to be precise) to feed a household with four adults That is $12.68 per person!. This includes groceries and whatever dining/fast food we did. Now, my kids may have spent some on their own if they were out, but not very likely anywhere near $50 a day each.

“People of masshole will still vote rat no matter what”

They will do that as long as the Federal Government bails them out because in that case they won’t feel pain.

The Massachusetts people need to suffer before they consider new leadership.

The price probably includes administration such as training in woke ideology and LGBQT.

I think someone has pulled these governors and mayors aside and said “Look, these are potential Dem voters for the next 50 years. They’re going to compare notes with immigrants in other cities, and you don’t want to be caught NOT doing all you can. I mean, think of the votes! You want to be a congressman someday don’t you?”

This is, to me, just a big pissing match to see who can best take care of their future voters.

Heh.

I worked on Madison Ave in Midtown Manhattan, in the advertising/marketing industry, back in the 70s & 80s, and had 50 salesmen and wives as corporate guests at Le Cirque, on East 65th St, for dinner at $12,500. My Amex Gold card took care of it.

The 4 Seasons, 21 and Mortons would just scoff at $64. Probably wouldn’t even cover the tip...

I wonder how much is spent on actual food, and how much for shopping, transport, cooking, serviing, cleaning up, and graft.
