The apologies are for the time before the Dems took over, when the racist Republicans were in control.
Those wacky Democrats are awfully slow. Took only about 70 years for them to get around to it. I can hardly wait for the apologies to the Japanese-Americans "sequestered" during WWII. California.... And then they can apologize for taking land from the Mexicans. In another 70 years or so. :)
It’s fun to apologize on behalf of people that aren’t there to defend themselves.
I’m truly sorry that San Francisco has turned into a hopeless, septic vortex. Glad to get that off my chest.
I think the leaders delivering the abject apology should be on bended knee as in the US Capitol Rotunda when Pelosi, Schumer, Schift, et al honored George Floyd’s death, their heads bowed.

Different take on “Every knee shall bend.” Philippians 2:10-11.
Proper white response as a form of apology would be:
Well, excuse me for living.

When are the SF fags going to apologize to straight society for all the tainted blood transfusions that killed thousands?
Extorted “apologies” are the antithesis of the real thing. They are used as leverage, as a book of signed blank checks, as a perpetual liability that can never be relieved by any means.
You’d think the’d apologize to the Chinese-Americans first. At least “Blacks” were citizens and could vote, while California supported laws that prevented Chinese immigrants from reaching citizenship; laws which the politicians of San Francisco and Sacramento were very much in favor of. They wanted the Chinese for their cheap labor (which likely hurt other citizen “minorities” and which helped build the continental railraod), but they did not want them becoming citizens.
