Dear Google/Waymo, your self-driving vehicles are next.
Oops, it was Waymo already.
I bet they got really good fireworks in Chinatown.
And tonight when the 49ers lose there will be even more festivities.
“” It was unclear what prompted the lawless destruction of the autonomous vehicle””
Uhhhhhhh....... Because it is San Francisco,.... Because they could...... Any culprits caught on camera will be future Mayors of San Francisco.
I know, just put these machines across the Bay in Oakland, where it is much safer. (Tee Hee)
Question?
Were the “unruly vandals,” ROBOTS?
Thanks for using JohnnyCab!
They know exactly what “prompted” this. Which is why they aren’t saying. People think they are dangerous and the PSC is bound and determined to permit them everywhere regardless of what the people want.
Like all the rest of CA government regulators the PSC is owned by corporate interests allied with the communist officials. Third world banana republic corruption. The hallmark of blue states. And not a lot better in the rest of the states.
Unfortunately, some of the robotic delivery vehicles are taking a beating, with several viral videos showing people kicking the autonomous bots over and even stealing the products inside
Can’t wait until they start building EV Chargers in the Inner City.
Did the autonomous vehicle at least have the self-awareness to cancel its future appointments prior to getting destroyed?
Note to taxi company. next time add bullet proof windows. a chain gun and auto disbursement tear gas.
The vandals were not spontaneous. Observe how they put their hoodies up before they started vandalizing the car!
The charging cables will be gone within minutes of being installed.
AI and robots vs. inner city America
Now on pay-per-view!
Proving that you need a reliably civil society for such conveniences to be deployed and operated. That, or they need to be dang near indestructable and tamper-proof.
We were there last night, left before that rowdiness. Lots of fireworks, explosives. Yes, more explosive than fireworks. Lots of people, locked crowded streets. Interesting visit to the city. (there for one of my kid’s competitions over at Berkeley this weekend.)
