Can you please provide proof on the Push button being mandatory?
As far as I know that is not mandatory, yet.
Thanks
After a little more digging I have found that you are correct, it is not yet a mandate, and its use is actually being investigated as a potential hazard due to folks *NOT* remembering to turn off the car with it.
It’s still a stupid, loathesome idea that whomsoever is responsible for should be hanged by their short and curlies from a lamppost until their corpse rots away.
Nobody hurt, truck a total loss.
He is not a person of wealth, he was unable to recover costs completely and I did, and do, feel sorry for him.
The story about Ford and Chinese military software supplier only makes it less likely (from completely unwilling) to ever buy another Ford.
cashless society is one more kill switch
We used to say that about Ford back in the 1970s. Also “Found On Road Dead” was another one.
How stupid! Unacceptable.
Good point
It appears that I have just found a reason to sell my Ford stock, and buy a foreign SUV.
true
What I had seen somewhere awhile back( could have been here on FR) was that China’s most popular or highest-rated EV was the one that gave the most problems & supposedly there were large numbers sitting in lots in disabled condition. The batteries were apparently a large part of the problem. Does FORD know how to pick them or what?
Used to work at a Ford dealership & what I saw of the Taurus models would suggest that, first of all.....don’t buy one although they did have some desirable features. Secondly if you felt like you just HAD to have one, get the SHO model or possibly one of the last few built. The older ones seemed to have many problems. SHO models at least had a pretty good engine. As to that salesman’s advice about not buying the first new models, that can often be true, but not always. In the case of a Taurus, it was very true.
