That is true. But my point about the lack of affordable used cars with 100k that aren’t facing a $8,000 service to keep it running is valid. There will be no used cars for poor and middle class people.
But the libs in government don’t give a damn for the poor or middle class and want them all in public transit anyway, so all is going according to plan.
I’ll say this from a Germany prospective (over 20 years here)...the whole trend to get people hyped up to buy E-cars has peaked. You might have 30-percent of society in some mindset to hang onto charging and E-cars...the rest are way too skeptical.
All of the German mandate business will start to go in ‘free-fall’ around 2028-2030, with any political party still trying to force the trend...being downsized and alternate voting patterns will start up.

Online used parts price for my Ford C-Max are nuts! I may parts it out before the batteries go. It has about 120,000 garage kept miles on it and keeping my fingers crossed. Quirk is that if the 12 volt battery totally dies, there is no manual release for the hatch back. The 12 v battery is in there and can’t be accessed to be changed. I have a battery charger that “rebuilds” the battery cell and charged it enough to pop the latch. Just weird.
