“But they drove with priiiide!”
Most EV owners in my neighborhood have a BMW or Lexus next to the EV in their garages. These EV owners tend to be rather affluent and so they have options.

They must bring out their EV’s whenever they need to impress their liberal friends.
Obviously, they are buying the Teslas for the same reason they bought the Beamers - to show how rich they are.
Missing El Rushbo! 🙄

An old saying goes, mercedes owners want to show how much they have, BMW owners want to show how much they know.
Thanks for posting.
You bring up a great point: government has been pushing to get The People into inefficient and poor-performance transportation for decades.
That is true. There is a social cachet in those circles for those who drive EVs.
Wow. It is one thing to lose power more quickly, but not taking a charge at all is downright serious. I didn’t realize it was that bad.
I made and posted this comedy video (Xtranormal) video almost 13 years ago, of course youtube shadow banned me in a couple hours but mention the cold climate about 3 minutes in.
EV owners rally for global warming.
Maximum Liberty- All choices for all people.
No mandates. No Tax breaks. Let ‘em compete in the market.
Battery EV’s are NOT for frigid weather.
They are NOT for everybody, in all circumstances.
Just like Diesel Crew Cab Dually Pickups, Prius’, or Minivans.
But, they can play a great role for some (IMHO many). Shorter commutes, all day local errand runs like dedicated delivery routes, or for me, lots of local trips with a great little stretch of highway to get the juices going.
That is not my local and casual experience. In my area, the south, people that have EVs (almost all Teslas) use the EV for local driving and a SUV for hauling and travel. They use both for driving to work. They are perfectly happy with the combination. One couple I know are thinking that after their EV they'll go with a hybrid to give them more options, but they are happy with their Tesla.
ROTFLMAO!!!, one again. Boston, a city with winters almost as miserable as Chicago’s where the electric buses are doomed to fail.
Heard on the radio the other day MI got some huge grant the other day for a million bucks to buy these giant yellow turds. BTW, it was -12 at my house yesterday.
I’m sure that’s a battery-electric powered helicopter deicing the windmill.
