I wish the article had explained: who conducted whatever investigation produced the reported “corrections”?; the methodology?; why they suspected their numbers were so far off?; whether the investigation looked into possible ineligible votes due to out of area residence/death/improper registration/double voting?, etc.

Since the article says “finds misreported votes”, it is likely that no sort of review of all these possibilities occured. Someone just noticed the State totals did not match the county’s counts. If so, calling that “finding” votes would be misleading.
