The EV is a battery dressed up to look like a car.

The battery will run down, and the car will be exposed for what it is:

A dead battery.

Leases don’t qualify for the tax credits.

Everything the government now does is to make your life harder, more expensive, more restrictive, and more miserable.

Granholm is an idiot, She knows nothing about energy. Everybody in Bidet’s “cabinet” is a knave or a fool or both.

Things are cheaper when you pay with free government hand-out money? How do you like that!? Now, why can’t I get some of that free government hand-out money to cover my mortgage, groceries and heating bill?

Better yet, I’d like some of that free government hand-out money to pay my federal income tax bill.

I am constantly appalled at how appallingly stupid these government commie hacks are. Can they possibly believe any of the sewage they spew at us?

"EVs are much more expensive to own and operate than comparably priced ICE cars"

No kidding and that's if you don't damage your EV. Let's check in with Mr. Kyle Hsu of Vancouver, BC on that. The bottom of Mr. Hsu's Hyundai 2022 IONIQ 5 got scratched somehow and it was declared a total loss. He was then quoted $60,000 for a new battery which is more than the car is worth. His insurance company declared it totaled and then doubled his insurance rate!

Vancouver EV owner shares cautionary tale after car deemed ‘total loss’

Due to the damage, Hsu says his eight-year warranty was deemed void, and the entire battery needed to be replaced at a cost of $30,000. Following the advice of the dealership, Hsu says he took his car to his insurance provider, ICBC, to see how much of the cost he could claim under his policy.

However, a few days later, Hsu says he received a call from ICBC quoting him $60,000 to replace his car’s battery — $10,000 more than the car cost.

Hsu says ICBC informed him that a secondary Hyundai dealership in Vancouver quoted the insurance provider that the cost of replacing the battery would be about $50,000, plus labour costs and tax, bringing the total to $60,000 — double Hsu’s initial quote.

After Granholm mentioned that refineries are being converted to biofuels due to policy incentives,......

Biofuels are harmful to ICE engines. And that is probably the point.

You are very wise sir.

Until this past year, all my vehicles have been new. No longer. This year I bought a 2010 Toyota Rav4 with 150K miles on it. I hope to put at least another 100K miles on it. I looked at new cars, but quickly concluded the the prices were insane for what was being offered. Better to get a used, indestructible Japanese s-box and drive it into the ground over 10-15 years. Then wash, rinse and repeat.

But what you see are these California prices that are significantly higher. If you see that carried out throughout the rest of the country, you will probably have a very unhappy electorate, because every time they see gasoline prices up $1, they scream.”

Five years ago, my electric bill averaged $102.98 a month. 2023 average was $227.74 per month. Gas prices may vary between $2 and $5, but electricity only ever keeps going up. Since we all know the Commies will never approve a bunch of nuclear plants, and the Repubs in Texas are almost as dumb and useless as their national cousins.

....Dunno how Cnandian buyback laws are, but why not total the car, get your $50M, buy it back for very cheap (I doubt most salvage yards want a firebox sitting around), and have the other dealer replace the battery for $30M. You get it fixed, and net $5-15M in the process!
