I am not at all interested in Kristi Noem. I think she is good on the eyes but that is about it.

I have always admired Ben Carson. I read his biography, and knew about him professionally, but the thing is-I never wanted to see him run for President.

I admired him as a principled person, extremely intelligent, and a very good administrator. But I didn’t want to see him run for President, because I didn’t feel at a gut level that he would be good in politics.

But if he were chosen for VP, I would be fine with that, because I think he would grasp the role and do his job, whatever it was, and succeed.

He never struck me as having lust for the job of The Presidency, but I distinctly believe he relishes doing any given job at hand to the best it can be done.

I like that.

I don’t know where that would go in four years, but I think he would do a great job in those four years, because that is how he conducted himself in his profession.

As a woman, her stance on abortion would be a major issue, and as SD Governor she supports that states very strict anti-abortion laws (life of mother only). That is more hardcore than Trump’s own position seems to be and much harder than where he’s said the R party needs to be to win.

Noboby’s going to look at any VP candidate as a factor with regard to foreign affairs or even trade (because that’s Trumps long suit) but they’re damn sure going to look at a female VP as a rorsharch test for abortion and Noem is not a plus in that regard.

100%

He would be my top choice to clean up the intelligence agencies, bar none. Not even hedging a little.

And I would like to see Kash Patel as Attorney General. I greatly admire him.

Not sure I agree with you on Trump’s pick for VP based upon the next election in 2028. Trump has a lot of people within his own party that have tried like crazy to topple him from anything he has endeavored. I think his first thought may be to secure a position in the senate to keep that body in line more like the conservatives would run it than allowing it to be the stopping point of bills coming out of the house like it is now due to weak leadership in Harris. The speaker and the VP in their respective parts of congress are important to further Trump’s agenda not exactly like the republican platform. The republican platform with it’s different thinking members is destined to fail as it always has done when they fold up like a lawn chair. Trump may be looking for a real tough one like he is to keep the cattle in the corral in the senate ranch. May be a tough search. But it’s about time a republican dug in his/her heals and said not only no, but hell no in that body!
