Are these all just money jugglers, or are there actually some productive people left in New York?
It sure has not dissuaded them from signing with the LA Dodgers. CA taxes are pretty high too.
Plus the only NFL team that actually plays in NY state is the Buffalo Bills. Jets and Giants both play in NJ.
FYI, I left WNY in 1985 for NH. The rest of my siblings left just prior or shortly after for TX, NC & PA
“Retired NYPD Lt. “
Part of the reason NYS sucks is the scandalous Public Employee Pensions.
If you got one, good on you-
If you don’t, and you are a taxpayer, paying for all of this thievery, you are pissed.
Guess how much they get?
Would you believe many are about $10K . . . a MONTH!
Politicians promise the big future payouts for the current votes and never look back. They’ll be long gone when that bill comes due.
The only reparations due are to slave owners whose rightfully and legally owned property was taken by the federal government and no compensation was given to them for their seized property.
“Westchester County and Nassau County”
I would imagine that the motels and hotels in these counties mainly serve the business traveler and would not have much spare capacity.
You would be wrong
They’re packed with with welfare and Illegals.
Both Hochul and Cuomo told MAGA people to get out. I hope a lot of Wall St types leave as well. Most of the state budget is supported by a handful of billionaires. I’d like to see NY go broke like CA.
No worries. The replacements are here.
Two very interesting links. The first...
Hochul vetoes progressive noncompete agreement ban after intense lobbying
The second is interesting in particular because of the misleading headline...
New York enacts LLC transparency law to fight fraud
Sounds good, right? Except for the part they buried down in the story...
...However, Governor Hochul’s amended version excludes a provision that would have made LLC ownership data publicly available...
The enemedia outlet has an interesting definition of transparency.
