You guys just have this wrong.
The Great Satan is Shiite. Sunnis and Shiites hate each other FAR more than they hate Israel or the US. They have been hating for 100s of years, before the US or Israel even existed.
Install infrastructure for the nat gas field in both Israel and Gaza. Have the gas flow and make money. The authorities will move heaven and Earth to stop their own extremists from putting that revenue at risk.
And never ever forget. This is all Saudi Arabia — headquarters of the Sunni faction. Iran is HQ Shiite. They are not the source of Hamas support or Gaza support because those are Sunni. They hate Sunnis.

Exactly. The women and children weren’t returned because they couldn’t return dead and mutilated bodies. Those poor people were raped and tortured to death. Israel likely has snipers stationed at known exits to the tunnels.

We’ve seen a lot of people questioning the wisdom of the Israeli’s making these preparations public. But, aside from the likelihood that such an operation could never be done in secret and that Hamas was probably already aware of it, it puts Israel in a good bargaining position. The message should be, “We’re going to flood the tunnels. The only question is whether you come out and surrender first - with the hostages - or die in the tunnels.
Those pipes are not bid enough. Bring them a big US hopper dredge and pump massive amounts of seawater to corrode all electrical connections and steel supports. Then follow up by pumping sand to completely fill the tunnels.
Gas the tunnels. Then flood them.

Assume they are dead.
Could the pumps be used to infuse the tunnels with a heavier-than-air knockout gas? That way, the hostages could be rescued, and the perps dealt with afterward, including positive ID of the top echelon.
