According to media reports here, a lot of people from Detroit were stranded because the prepaid, pre-booked buses never showed up.
The same Toronto reporter followed up on X (Twitter) today:
“It turns out the main bus contractor delivered its end of the deal with a full fleet of buses and drivers. However, a subcontractor not only didn’t send 17 buses and drivers but turned into virtual ghosts when people started calling him to find out where they were?
The subcontractor was identified by the UJA as Prestige Worldwide Transportation Network LLC, owned by Mohammed Ashfaq.
But the Sun’s attempts to reach the company, or its reported owner were unsuccessful. People at a company with the same name say they do not know who this man is and are also not involved with leasing buses
The phone number for Ashfaq that sources say worked on the weekend was disconnected Monday.
As Sun photographer Ernest Doroszuk revealed, all that was there appeared to be a phantom company — an empty distribution area with no vehicles.”
Canada celebrates and financially supports nazis. What did they expect?
Interesting ...
We have a subcontractor (no problem there, the group apparently needed more buses than the prime has) that doesn’t exist (there’s a problem ...) allegedly owned by a mohammedan (there’s a bigger problem ...) which has now evaporated into the night. How did the prime get hold of this particular sub? Did they verify that the proposed sub exists? Is that verification normal in the bus business?
Something is RID.
Never said they got to the truth. Warmington and the Crew have only been on the story and he’s as old-school as a Journo could barely hope to be nowadays.
Absolutely more to the story, and with a vapor company it won’t be easy to find. Is “Mohammed Ashfaq” even a real person?
I hope to see more information as it develops.
Thanks for staying with the story.
Bus company owned by Ahmed?
