But also, that older parent need to help their young ones when they are in trouble.

America is the child of old Europe. Europeans built the USA from scratch. Europe and America are historically, ethnically, genetically and religiously deeply tied together. If America is attacked, Europe has signed to help it. If Europe is attacked America has signed to help it.
