Just checked again and the story has been dropped from both links. I have seen that many times before when a story does not fit the desired narrative as more details get revealed.

When Israel tells people to leave the area repeatedly, my advice is to leave the area.
Israel was on Yom Kippur High Alert for the THREE weeks preceding the attack.
The attack was conducted by 2,000 amphetamine fueled Suicide Soldiers. ALL of their commanding officers remained in Gaza.
1,500 Suicide Soldiers were dead 24 hours later. Most of the survivors took hostages back to Gaza.
Seven border penetrations - three for one mile or less - two for two miles or less - the deepest penetration was less than four miles, at the softest target, the music festival.
Also, Hamas fired 7,000 rockets into Israel. The rocket death toll versus the land invasion toll has not been reported.
Also, because Hamas had NOT fired rockets into Israel for several months, 20,000 Hamas residents were recently allowed to work in Israel.
Those residents gathered at the crossing points at exactly the same time the Hamas Suicide Soldiers attacked.
In my opinion, the only people condemning Netanyahu are the people trying to evict him from office.

In a technical sense, we were downwind of that ... but we had the whole Pacific Ocean between us and the artificial sun. Israel is downwind of Gaza, and whole lot closer.

What you're not seeming to understand here is, Israel has tried everything else except the military solution. They've had plenty of military encounters, but never with their current goal.
Due to what transpired on 10/7/23, Israel declared war and seems intent on prosecuting that war until the enemy is annihilated.

Those are the words of a coward. I've heard this nonsense repeatedly my entire life, and my analysis has always been correct in this specific regard. Turning the other cheek, as most insisted, didn't work, did it? Actually fighting evil simply spawns more evil? Ok, you can go on believing that BS your entire life, but from my perspective, the threat can be eliminated and we've seen the blueprints on how that is accomplished with the proper mindset and fortitude.
Civilization is a pact. If you cannot abide by the pact, then you do not deserve to participate in civilization. If you continue with barbaric behavior towards the civilized, then your removal from the gene pool is warranted.
These are truisms that modern people will refuse to acknowledge, and that is why and how we've come to this point.
What you (or I) believe means nothing. Basic, fundamental truisms are what matter in the end, and all of the nuancing in the universe won't change that reality (but you can continue to ignore it and “hide” from it).

That is neither simple nor is it a fact.
But that specific idea is a powerful argument in favor of ruthless genocide applied to a hostile population. You might want to reconsider more humane alternatives.
Mass expulsion is one of those more humane alternatives. There are others. But most of the other alternatives have been tried already and failed decisively.
