Depends on the collective bargaining agreement. My -guess- is that the employees hired to fill the positions of those fired will be let go, as they have less seniority in the position.

Excellent news.
They haven’t been able to find people to fill the ferry worker jobs because they have to be certified or licensed. So, they have reduced the number of runs that the ferries make, hoping that the public will support the government coercion.

Yup—the J6 political prisoners may ultimately get their convictions overturned at some distant future date—but at that time they will have already spent years in prison.
That’s nuts.
We’ll see how things progress as the case goes through the NY judicial system.
