If they were planning any sort of entry to Gaza there would be massive bombing and shelling going on for the last few days.
In fact, little or nothing.

With a deal in place and uncertainty pulled out, institutions will want a good dip with some liquidity to buy. First 30 minutes after the bell tomorrow would work good for that.
Check out this feed, bombings have picked up the last two hours:

*******⚡️My source in Gaza is describing ongoing airstrikes as “insane” at the moment— War Monitor (@WarMonitors) October 15, 2023
#BREAKING ⚡️🇮🇱🇵🇸 IT WAS REPORTED THAT ISRAELI ARMORED FORCES AND MECHANIZED INFANTRY WERE MOVING DIRECTLY TOWARDS THE NORTHERN GAZA BORDER IN SOME AREAS.— UKR REPORT (@UKR_Report) October 15, 2023
This is live with 4 cameras.

Little or nothing.
The end game of this is Failure Theatre from Netanyahu. So he needs some big scary explosions that look really excessive. Plus exaggeration and hype from the left at his “war crimes”.
But they need to wait for daylight, since that is a media strategy, not a military strategy.
From that link, two of the cameras in Gaza have gone offline.
The other two cameras are not in Gaza. They are in Tel Aviv and in Ashdod. They do not have a view of Gaza.
I cannot tell from that video feed what is happening in Gaza.
Perhaps the Israelis have made yet another bad deal in Gaza.
Reports from the north of Israel suggest the IDF is in very active combat operations against Hezbollah. They also have operations in the West Bank.
This does not look good.
Oops. Cameras one and two of your new link just lit up. They appear to be running 10 frames per second, so the "action" is quite lagging. But there are multiple explosions. Camera four appears to be frozen or offline.
Something very big and very nasty is happening in Gaza at the moment.
I expect some big, impressive looking explosions once it gets light.
But that is for media purposes, not military purposes.
So they look like they are doing something, when they have actually pulled the plug.
If they don't actually move forces into Gaza on Monday or Tuesday, I would agree that your assessment is correct.
Bombing Gaza City into rubble (and bouncing the rubble) is not sufficient by itself to destroy Hamas. They would need to bulldoze the rubble into the sea afterwards and make the area a parking lot. Then they would need to start on the southern half of the Gaza strip.
Maybe the IDF is just not capable of doing that. So, they put on a light show to impress the rubes. as you suggested.
Meanwhile, they seem to be pretty busy up north and to the east (The West Bank of Jordan).
Close the gate.
Actually, Hamas will block the gate, as they need to hold the population captive.
It’d actually be interesting to see what would happen if Israel eliminated Hamas and then left the Gaza side of that gate unrestricted to anyone wanting to leave.
If you actually scrolled down and read the forecast, it shows showers late this morning (local time), then “stray showers” in the evening, then sunny tomorrow. An early morning move might be in the works, but that’d also be the “obvious” move.
It might be worthwhile to see if the north / south water and aid ploy moves significant numbers of people.
Well, maybe if you are the Russians.
I remember the vids from Bagdhad at the onset of GWII. Recall that Saddam had a very extensive air defense and command / control structure around the city. The US and allies, with huge numbers of aircraft available, methodically took down the defenses and military targets. It was not really an intense barrage, as one might expect.
In this case, Hamas is almost surely mostly holed up underground. I expect Israel to flood the tunnels, but, we shall see.
