Back when I was working direct for a company, one of our service techs was dispatched to a project in China. He asked if he would be paid over time while traveling (typically a 24 hour trip). The response from management was ”we will only pay you for an 8 hour day”. So, what he did was plan his travel route so that he only traveled for 8 hours a day. It took him 4 days to get there. After that, management changed their policy and paid the OT for long distance travel.
What a dumbass. Hope he doesn’t fart.
He apparently thinks the plane won’t fly unless he is on it.

A cargo ship uses bunker fuel and will be blowing thick black smoke along it’s trip.
