So long as Menendez votes the way Durbin tells him it’s fine. LBJ had a crude phrase for this arrangement.

Nobody should ask him to stand down until he has been convicted. I know the guy is a sleeze ball, and I know he’s probably guilty, but as an American, he is entitled to the assumption of innocence until proven guilty.

That’s probably because Little Dick is in cahoots with this weasel.

They all are. And Mendenez has dirt on all of them, so perhaps the ones staying silent are the really bad ones...

I’m hoping for the assured mutual destruction phase of corruption.

Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) on Sunday declined to call on Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) to resign...

Of course not. Criminals protect their own and US voters are dumb enough to keep these thieves in office. I wish voters had to pass a quiz on the candidates and their positions before they'd be allowed to vote. Of course, that would never happen because incumbents know what would happen if they faced an informed electorate.

It is just an indictment. Let’s see all the dirty laundry.

No, don’t let the scum escape by quietly fading away. Bring it all out. Impeach him and ruin his legacy and that of everyone who voted with him on anything.

They tolerated his many past corruptions and so Menendez skipped along his merry crooked ways thinking he was untouchable. He’s gotten away with it so far so why should he resign? Turban Durbin is a fellow Rat traveler so no resistance from him.

He has hundreds of thousands in cash and gold bars that he cannot explain. At the very least he should be removed from his job.

That America is long-dead. Do you think you would get that presumption? Look at the J6 prisoners. Did they get that presumption?

That may have been true once. Now, with fraud, they stay in office regardless of the voter's desire.

It doesn’t work like that for bank robbers who get caught why do politicians get a different treatment?

He has a legal presumption but that does not entitle him freedom to go on like nothing has happened.

The crime is obvious and it is likely to continue to be commited again if he says in power.

Not just Menendez — I think DC is a blackmail daisy chain — someone has dirt on someone, and it goes round and round. No one will point the finger at anyone for fear that finger will be pointed at them. The District of Corruption.

His first corruption trial ended in a mistrial due to a hung jury. Apparently, it didn't stop him before, either.
