I was in SA for three weeks during apartheid and noticed very conflicting aspects. Our hotel in Johannesburg had a black manager and a white staff. Most plice were black and the couple in the next room at the hotel were black.

There was plenty of industry including a car plant. Of course it made no sense as to our country’s boycott forcing the result we see today.
