There is a Texas version of “I’ve been everywhere” by Brian Burns. One of the towns mentioned is Bridge City. “Bridge city, what a pity”. I always laugh at that because I have been to Bridge City many times. Not much there but a very tall bridge that can scare the hell out of some drivers.

Just south of me is the Talmadge Memorial Bridge spanning the Savannah River. I go over it quite often. It is very high. I know people who are scared to drive over it. The port is in the process of raising the bridge to accommodate larger ships.
