Thinking about 9/11 for the last few days. I was up early that day also, on a drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico. It happened fast and things changed fast but not like they have these last three years. That event united most of us for just awhile but also opened the door to some other misguided foreign entanglements. Since then we have been driven further apart.
The lawless change has been faster and more devastating than any in the rest of my life, just at 70 years. I am sad to say the ship is sinking and damage control is of no use. She just has too many holes in her, too much damage, too much division in her crew. I think it would be best to scuttle her instead of giving her to the enemy.
