Ya don’t think the wind might have anything to do with it, do you?

I know. It’s still rather windy and rainy. We just discovered one of our big oaks down.

Like Florida has never had a Storm before
To: Lizavetta
Agreed. And the storm is coming ashore at what is arguably the least occupied point of Florida. I’m sure that the residents of Steinhatchee or Perry should be paying attention, but it is a long way from Tampa, Orlando or sunny south Florida. Tallahassee will lose a few trees and the beaches at Panama City will be empty except for the surfers. Otherwise? Meh!

Thank you but no. The property is wall to wall tree debris but we won’t start on it until we get power for AC and the chainsaw batteries. Now the big oaks we will have to find someone to handle that but it’s not a priority right now.

I live in the Iowa/Illinois/Wisconsin boarder area.
The description of the tragedy that you claim Idalia is responsible for could very easily be a description of any of several storms that we have in this area every year.

I know. Everyone gets those storms that is really bad and leaves destruction behind. Tornadoes, rain, hurricanes, fires. I was a little upset with an earlier poster that called this hurricane coverage fear porn and that it was a nothing burger. To us today...that ticked us off. Anyone that has been through one of these understands my response.
