Enjoy your last days of the American Republic. So many here on FR are wasting their time and energy in the Trump-Never Trump conversation.
Our real enemy is the National Debt, which is careening to $40 trillion, with no speed bumps to slow it down.
Albert Einstein is quoted as saying, “Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it... he who doesn't... pays it”
It won't be long before annual interest on the debt will be twice the defense budget. When that happens, everyone's ox will have to be gored, but the Legislative Branch isn't up to the task.
I no longer have a reason to vote. My formerly purple district is now a 75% Democrat district, thanks to redistricting. Both of my Senators, Cornyn & Cruz, haven't been much help, either.
Nearly 70, I'm still working, to pay down my debt and invest in lead.
This isn't an opus, just my observations on the world we live in.
I dont agree with you much with regards to DeSantis. That being said, Should we have a couple of minutes of silence. This is just silly.
This reminds me of all the outrage if you don’t come out right away and condemn everything. This should be on mediate.

Desantis is a complete dirt bag. I loved this guy and what he was doing for Florida. Then his true self came out when he announced he was running for president. This just sealed the deal.

No, you said it was time to direct hate to the real enemy, and that involves talk. That is what politicians do.
I am very familiar with what DeSantis has been doing. I know that he was badly losing his bid for his first run as governor, that he sought and obtained Trump’s endorsement, and narrowly pulled out a victory.
Then he showed his gratitude by joining up with the Bush family and globalists in an effort to stop Trump.
And now he claims that Biden is a legitimate president, that the election was not stolen, and basically refuses to condemn in loud terms the outrageous political persecution of Trump. He just won’t do it unless pressed, and then does it instilted political speak.
He will never get my listless vote.

You need to understand. For the rabid Trump supporters, anything Trump does to take attention away from the other candidates, like scheduling events opposite the debate, is brilliant, magnificent, genius, etc. Anything any other candidate does to take attention away from Trump is akin to sacrilege, even if it is just continuing their campaign and ignoring Trump entirely. It all has to be about Trump, you see, and anything that doesn’t comport with that must be attacked mercilessly.

Yes, that is a fact many ignore. Trump would not be a part of this election if it wasn’t for the steal.

Completely disagree. While Desantis should come out stronger on this because there is no advantage in not doing so, I don’t see the point of helping the MSM weaken other candidates. I like Trump and he is my first choice. If, for whatever reason, Desantis wins, I will happily vote for him. He did a great job during COVID, where I came very close to having to choose between the shots and my job because I don’t live in Florida (fortunately, the mandate came off before I had to return to the office). Same with Tim and most of the others. Haley basically repeated democratic talking points in attacking other Republicans.
