I would hope almost all of the defendents try to do this. Not sure if lawyers representing Trump, like Eastman, could file to move(???).

It’s now completely a political weapon for the Democrat pedophiles and other grifters like Mitt Romney who somehow get into power. Merrick Garland is obviously compromised. Why was he confirmed as AG ? Should have been a years long filibuster. Just look at the guy. Ugly men in positions of power are placed there for a reason.

If Georgia can indict a sitting President, then why can’t Texas indict Biden for human trafficking? Plenty of evidence.

The answer is the same for Trump as Biden - can’t indict a President.

The irony here, as a lawyer friend of mine pointed out, is that the requirement to move it to Federal court stems from the civil rights era. It was designed to prevent redneck county prosecutors from indicting FBI agents who were in the South to safeguard desegregation efforts.

Not only that, but since Willis is alleging a criminal enterprise and racketeering, if you move one defendent to Federal court, you might have to move all the defendants. When that happens, expect Willis to cry “racism!”

The case looks to me (I got about as far as Act 18 I think) to be they did so many legal things they became an illegal conspiracy. Tweets, obtaining phone numbers, talking to people. Free speech and redress of grievances. Oh my!

The indictment lists legal things as acts of the conspiracy for RICO.

How the hell do you claim talking about drafting a speech days before the election that claims victory in light of election fraud is illegal? The election hadn’t even taken place! Did Trump know he lost the election that didn’t take place yet because the fix was in? Did he time travel? That’s what they lead with in Act 1. And then we get into tweets and asking for phone numbers or meeting with officials. It’s ridiculous.

Maybe there’s merit somewhere in the case but it’s lost in the BS.

They seemed to brag about it being 97 PAGES!! As if filling it full of bunk makes it serious.

Yeah even with jury nullification the prosecutor has to provide the jurors some sort of common sense story they can use as their so-called justification to themselves of a conviction.

The Trump phone call to GA gives them a bit of an opening but its just a phone call without any real power behind it.

“I would like to see the State of Florida file suit against the State of Georgia in Federal court for violating the civil rights of a Florida citizen (Donald Trump)”

DeSantis would never allow that.

He’s still mad at Trump for endorsing him when he ran for Governor of FL.
