Iowa Pork Producers’ pork chop on a stick.
Ingredients
4 rib-eye pork chops
1 qt water
1/4 c salt
1 tbsp minced garlic
1 tsp black pepper
Trim the pork chops to create a handle (the “stick”) and place in a resealable bag.
Pour in combined water, salt, garlic, and pepper; seal bag and refrigerate for 2 hours.
Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
Place the chops on the grill and sear, about 2 to 3 minutes per side.
Reduce the heat to medium, and continue to cook 12 to 15 minutes to an internal temp of 145 F.
Wrap the “stick” in foil and enjoy!

Remember the hecklers that Trump had when he started? It’s all part of being a conservative candidate. Can RDS handle it?
The booth probably is run by them, I can't recall. It's a little bit uphill from the building complex housing vendors on the upper floor, and animals on display within. We love getting the pork chops on a stick, condiments supplied but not necessary to enjoy the chops. Walk up a little more and ride the overhead sky glider to the other side of the fairgrounds where all the rides exist, and warehouses with vendors hawking goods.
We load up on food, then do shopping. My daughter's father-in-law runs several concession booths, and all the family joins in. The family has done this annually since the late 1940's. My daughter has been helping out for almost 20 years now. Father-in-law has turned over running the fair to her husband and his two brothers. My Granddaughters will join in not too many years from now.
Everyone should visit the fair at least once, very enjoyable.
