RE: Anybody looking for a cheap EV?
Once I read an article about used cars. Author said “When they show those flood disaster news clips as after a hurricane or rain storm showing dozens of cars with only the tops showing above muddy water people ask ‘what happens to all those cars?’ Answer: they sell them to Northern used car dealers to sell on their lots.” Author said to look for a water stain line on some part of the interior including the engine to show where the water used to be.
“The Fremantle Highway was taken”
More like “The Fremantle Carnage”.
“The only way I can see to safely transport EVs in bulk like this is in some kind of hermetically sealed container vessel, where the oxygen levels can be reduced enough to inhibit combustion.”
That’s the problem with EVs (Lithium Ion batteries), the Oxygen they need for their batteries to burn is already in the cells. The only hope to keep fires from spreading is to cool down adjacent cells, as the fires cannot be smothered.
#44 They open the container after unloading, the rush of oxygen and a spark and whoosh!!
