I agree. When I saw that this was from the NYT my alarm bells went off. I need another source.

I’m surprised to see DeSantis come out this strong on this subject, right now. And back in early 2021, I would have been furious with him.
But, since that time, Trump really has been short on any ACTUAL evidence the election was stolen. It’s why I’ve gotten so impatient with Trump’s constant bemoaning 2020, even though he never filed a single lawsuit about the election in 2021.
DeSantis seems ready to challenge just what actual evidence does he have. Which is a legitimate question, 2.5 years after the election.
If fraud was so widespread, and Trump had all this time to gather the evidence in his favor, what is it, exactly?
Evidence of actual fraud, not just something that could have led to fraud. Which is all Trump really argued in his court cases in 2020.
Well, officially, who DID win the election? Biden, right? Or do you dispute that Biden won the official election count, and is now sitting in the White House? I have to ask, with all the Q people around, etc.

Ok, fine, you can have that opinion. But DeSantis is just calling Trump's bluff on the actual proof. Where is the actual proof it was stolen. Not just weaknesses in the process, that COULD have led to it being stolen. Where's the proof it WAS.
Because Trump has been long on claims, and short on proof, himself.
So while I am surprised DeSantis went this direct, on Trump's CORE claim of election fraud, but knowing DeSantis, he's probably done the analysis and doesn't think Trump really has to goods, to show.
And so it's a strike at exactly who Trump claims to be, the victim. Obviously, I expect his most dedicated supporters to rally behind him, whether Trump ever provides any actual proof or not. So chances are that is not who DeSantis is hoping to reach out to with this new angle of attack.
Of course he does. He’s owned by the establishment money men who do not want Trump… he has to toe the line.. or be shut off regardless of whether he believes or does not believe in fraud.

Too many lies fr one post. You should break them up in several posts. Trump created no Covid rules. Pence was in charge with Fauci. As Trump understood Fauci was a mountebank Trump sidelined him.
If the above is DeSantis statement he is showing he has an agenda or is incredibly ignorant. Votes were indeed created, switched and stolen in multiple states in multiple locations. Anyone who bothered to watch the testimony of the mathematicians, election techies and the videos has no doubt.
They have not been substantiated, as DeSantis noted.

DeSantis is correct that none of the theories have proven true. Even drag queen Rudi G has acknowledged it when he said “We don’t have the evidence, but we have lots of theories.”
It’s time to move on from 2020. Everyone but the most committed Republican base voter (which is only about 25% of the public) is tired of hearing about the complaints. They’re just like Algore’s after he lost in 2000.
I still think Trump is the strongest candidate compared to Rhonda, but 2020 is undoubtedly Trump’s weakest point. He needs to stop the whining.
Rhonda whines about everything constantly so he certainly knows what whining looks like.
DeSantis has always been on a leash. His advisors made him, and now they’re destroying him.

That’s simply not true. DeSantis says nothing about SOME theories being unsubstantiated. He never even uses the word “some”.
This is what he says, word for word:

Do you not understand the difference between “All those theories” and “some theories”?
DeSantis also goes on to say:

You misled people. Nowhere in his comments does DeSantis talk about only SOME theories being unsubstantiated. You created that out of whole cloth.
