We no longer have the mighty industrial base that allowed us to rapidly ramp up to a paramount war footing in 1942. We have outsourced much parts manufacture to China and depend on China to keep WalMart and the military supplied. A war with China will instantly cut off our military from many categories of resupply.
Attrits our ammo supply in Ukraine and is emptying our strategic oil reserve at the same time so only our Nuke ships will have the fuel for a long slog and those vessels are more and more undeployable in port for lack of maintenance
Recruiters have been turning away potential recruits after determining patriotic or right wing sentiments. This has cut off the military’s historic manpower poo, the southern boys who have also been pressured out of the military (my son ıs one such after 13 years).
