The Germans cut down trees to burn in their wood burning stoves for heat...

We've been selling wood pellets internationally from at least one local company for a while. I believe they were, or still are, shipping to Germany.

The Port Arthur terminal has a five-silo pellet storage facility and a shipping terminal located in Port Arthur, Texas, USA.
Port Arthur location is less than two hours from sea buoy to dock. The port is connected to the KCS Railroad providing direct intermodal service to and from major markets of the U.S. and Canada.

They chip the wood up north before they truck it to compress it into pellets at the port facility down south.
The chips could have been used for pellets, but it's probably gone by now if it were.

Graanul Invest Group pellet production capacity is 2,98 million short tons per year.
We are the second-largest pellet producer in the world and the largest in Europe.

Even seems that even with solutions there are still problems.

Those trees will decay which will release hundreds of tons of CO2 into the air

Last winter, The Germans cut down trees to burn in their wood burning stoves for heat since they’ve shut down nuke and coal plants.

Maybe the Black Forest, won’t be so black anymore.

As this is the work of Forestry and Land Scotland (a government agency) these trees will most likely be plantations of non-native species such as conifers and spruce - which ruin the landscape and the wildlife. Good riddance!

“If this is true, this story is being loose with facts.”

I keep running into this on the web, people freely lying to sweeten a story or create one. They justify it with “everyone is doing it so I have to”. Even decent YouTube channels resort to those stupid mugging pictures in their thumbnails, as well as “That’s It. I’m leaving. Goodbye” bs when they are just rebranding the channel or making some change.

It’s the same with the environmental movement. They run a story how a pipeline leaked 4 million litres before it was stopped. It sounds horrible until you do the math and it’s a 30’ puddle or something non-consequential.

Well, Germany is banning wood stoves, as well.

In my rural area I’ve see thousands of acres of woodland and meadows bulldozed for solar farms and monster windmills. Meanwhile in the nearby city there are thousands of acres of asphalt parking lots and large commercial building (shopping centers, warehouses, schools, factories, office building) roofs where solar panels could have been installed without cutting down trees or bulldozing grass. Putting solar panels overhead in urban parking lots would have the added advantage of providing shade to parked cars during hot summer months. Plus the electricity generated would not have to travel as far to its point of use.

The destruction of natural woodlands and grassland to install green energy production, instead of using land already ruined by urbanization, is more evidence the green movement is not about climate change.

I wonder if it’s a population reduction scheme?

Maybe. Maybe just deliberate population immiseration.

If you assume all these politicians hate the poopulations they rule, their behaviour makes sense.
